Closed Form Solution to the Structure from Motion Problem from Line Correspondences
نویسندگان
چکیده
A theory is presented for the computation of three dimensional motion and structure from dynamic imagery, using only line correspondences. The traditional approach of corresponding microfeatures (interesting points-highlights, corners, high curvature points, etc.) is reviewed and its shortcomings are discussed. Then, a theory is presented that describes a closed form solution to the motion and structure determination problem from line correspondences in three views. The theory is compared with previous ones that are based on nonlinear equ* tions and iterative methods.

Motion and Structure from Line Correspondences; Closed-Form Solution, Uniqueness, and Optimization
This paper discusses estimating motion and structure parameters from line correspondences of a rigid scene. We present in this paper a new closed-form solution to motion and structure parameters from line correspondences through three monocular perspective views. The algorithm makes use of redundancy in the data to improve the accuracy of the solutions. The uniqueness of the solution is establi...
متن کاملEstimating motion/structure from line correspondences: a robust linear algorithm and uniqueness theorems
A closed-form solution to motion and structure from line correspondences in monocular perspective image sequences is presented. The algorithm requires a minimum of 13 lines over three perspective views. Redundancy in the data provides overdetermination to combat noise. The estimates can be used as an initial guess for further optimization [8]. A unique solution to motion and structure is guaran...
متن کاملClosed-form solution+maximum likelihood: a robust approach to motion and structure estimation
This paper presents a robust approach to estimating motion and structure from image sequences. The approach consists of two steps. The first step is estimating the motion parameters using a robust linear algorithm that gives a closed-form solution for motion parameters and scene structure. The second step is improving the results from the linear algorithm using maximum likelihood estimation. In...
متن کاملClosed-form Solution of Dynamic Displacement for SLGS Under Moving the Nanoparticle on Visco-Pasternak Foundation
In this paper, forced vibration analysis of a single-layered graphene sheet (SLGS) under moving a nanoparticle is carried out using the non-local elasticity theory of orthotropic plate. The SLGS under moving the nanoparticle is placed in the elastic and viscoelastic foundation which are simulated as a Pasternak and Visco-Pasternak medium, respectively. Movement of the nanoparticle is considered...
متن کاملFree Vibration Analysis of a Sloping-frame: Closed-form Solution versus Finite Element Solution and Modification of the Characteristic Matrices (TECHNICAL NOTE)
This article deals with the free vibration analysis and determination of the seismic parameters of a sloping-frame which consists of three members; a horizontal, a vertical, and an inclined member. The both ends of the frame are clamped, and the members are rigidly connected at joint points. The individual members of the frame are assumed to be governed by the transverse vibration theory of an ...
